Getting ready to travel? With a luxury watch on your wrist, there's never been a better time to take a trip. But before you go, there's just a few things you should remember:
1. Protect your watch at airport security.
If you're asked to remove your watch at airport security, you want to protect it from X-rays. You can do so by putting your bag and/or coat on top of your watch as a protective layer. Of course, there isn't a 100% effective way to deflect X-rays in this case, so it may be a good idea to have your watch de-magnified afterwards.
2. Keep your watch secure at all times.
To keep your timepiece safe, be conscientious about where you keep it when it's not on your wrist. If you leave it back at the hotel, make sure it's secure in the hotel safe. Even when you wear it out, double check that the clasp is secure. Sometimes a lapse in attention could send someone else walking away with your luxury watch.
3. Always pack a watch roll.
Sometimes, it's necessary to bring multiple watches on a trip. In this case, it only makes sense to bring a watch roll to keep them protected. This will prevent scuffs and scratches during travels, and it will be easier to keep them secure in your luggage.
4. Bring a watch that suits your itinerary.
Will you be needing a formal watch for special occasions? Or perhaps a diving watch for a beach trip? Or maybe both? Either way, you should consider your itinerary before you decide which watch (or watches) to bring. That way, you won't be stuck at the right place with the wrong watch during your trip.

Keeping track of multiple timezones can be tricky, especially when you are traveling long distances. You might want to consider bringing a watch with a GMT function to make things a little easier. This function gives you a reference for multiple timezones right on your wrist.
